It is the material and immaterial assets of a locality that represent the identity and cultural heritage of our nation. Both the public and private sector need to involve themselves in the conservation of the heritage built by Man. The Preserved City initiative addresses actions devised to ensure a sustainable use of the past, such as the creation of facilities for cultural and scientific purposes; conservation of nature and immaterial heritage, as well as projects aimed at restructuring and recovering artistic and cultural assets.
